What is ADD

ADD is not a mental disorder but a collection of traits and tendencies of that define a way of being in the world. Having ADD makes life paradoxical. You can super focus sometimes, but also space out when least mean to. You can radiate confidence and also feel insecure. You can perform at the highest level feeling incompetent as you do so. You can be lovely by many and feeling that no one really likes you. You can absolutely intend to do something then forget to do it. You can have the greatest ideas of the world but feel as if you cannot accomplish a thing.

  • Child psychiatrists have the most training in ADD and they treat also adults.
  • Developmental pediatricians (they do not treat adults)
  • Most psychologist have training with ADD
  • Adult psychiatrist tend not to have training with ADD
